Writing
I know my way around words.

I specialize in writing blog posts and articles, profiles, website content, and content marketing. I've been creating content for over a decade and in that time have developed the skills to clearly and coherently get your message across in a way that speaks directly to your audience. Whether it’s corporate, lighthearted, academic, or journalistic, I can help you develop content for a variety of tones and styles.
See My Recent Work ↓

My approach to writing is reader focused. The key to effective writing is determining who you’re speaking to, what message you want to deliver, and what action you want your readers to take.

Let me help you get straight to the point.

Content Marketing

Show your customers that you're a thought leader in your industry with relevant, engaging, and valuable content. I can help you develop and write that content, so that you can focus on all of the other moving parts of your company.

Web Copy

Your website needs to coherently explain to your clients or customers what you offer and what makes you stand out. I can help you make sure that your purpose and offering is clear and that your website copy is straightforward, engaging, and speaks directly to your audience.

Profiles & Articles

Sharing other people's stories and digging into nuanced issues to better understand them is what fires me up. Profiles of creative team members or leaders can help celebrate your team, highlight a project, or give people a little more insight into your organization. Articles about issues that matter to you and your organization can provide a bit of insight into your values and what you're all about. I can help showcase your team and what you do.

Writing FAQ

Why is content marketing important?

Content marketing can be anything from blog posts to newsletters to social media posts. Rather than explicitly attempting to push a particular product to a customer, the goal of content marketing is to encourage conversation and inspire interest in your product or service among readers and online visitors. Content marketing allows you to engage with your audience, illustrate your expertise in your industry, and showcase your personality!

How does content marketing help SEO?

Search Engine Optimization is a means of drawing the most online users to your website by ensuring that your site ranks as high as possible in search results. Content marketing is the means by which your site appears in those search results. Without posting content online, there is little to draw people to your site! They go hand in hand: SEO informs the type of content best suited to draw people to your site, while the content you produce is the vehicle by which you drive those people to your site.

How do you write effective email marketing content?

Writing effective email marketing content will depend on who your customer is, what they need or what problem they have, and how you can offer solutions. It’s a matter of speaking directly to your customer, in a relevant and helpful way, while remaining authentic and sincere. A subject line that entices them to open the email, paired with a personalized message that speaks directly to the customer’s needs, followed by a clear call to action are good first steps to effective email content. If you want to talk more about how you can do this for your customers in particular, reach out!
